Joint patrols this morning. Officers visited Manor Park library where there is a stall for the Newham Festival of Stories. As the most diverse borough in London, Newham is uniquely placed to offer insights into life experiences - “stories” - from around the world. We would encourage our residents to come forward and share their histories, adding further layers to the rich tapestry which is modern day London. From there we went to the Jack Cornwall Centre E12 where a meeting -"Powering London" - was taking place. A very interesting initiative around affordable, green, energy with direct community participation, helping to tackle the wider global climate crisis, we were pleased, but perhaps not surprised, to see our very own Frederic Billet (pictured last) taking part in the event - Frederic is Chair of Manor Park Ward Panel and a very active resident.
Best wishes Douglas Waterman PCSO 7134NE Manor Park SNT.
